You know what I’ve been noticing a lot lately as I’m driving around; Construction and HOLY SHIT there’s a lot of it! It seems to me that the City of Ottawa decided to do ALL of its construction this year. I know it has been a long time coming but they should have done it a while ago don’t you think?? Usually I don’t mind it cause it helps make roads a lot better & creating more jobs but this is getting out of hand. It’s like everywhere you go now there construction. It’s like driving through a war zone! It’s THAT BAD!
It slows down traffic, and causing everyone to take alternative routes. Most areas you can’t even avoid it. You have no choice but to go through it. You have to drive like an 80 year old who can’t see behind the wheel; Swerving away from bumps so that you don’t fuck up your car. Sometimes it causes traffic jams. You’re stuck there driving two km every few minutes and all you can do it wait patiently like saint while you are breaking your high score on Angry Birds! Sometimes they have to close down exits ramps on highways causing you to back track to where you have to be! It also causes damage to your car with all the bumps you take, the rocks scratching the paint off & chipping away at your window, and all that dust covering your car. It’s like driving around in the middle of Afghanistan.
I wouldn’t be surprise if you are late for work because of this construction, and you have an asshole boss that tells you that you should have shown up way earlier or take a different way in order to get to work on time. Won’t that bring your piss to a boil to have your piece of shit boss show no concern of your dilemma. Buses are worse too. They are already slow and now it’s 10 times slower cause of construction. You mind as well just get off the bus and walk the rest of the way. Why not bike you say??? Ya, I would like to see bike around a backhoe.
Also, some of it seems pointless. Like the removal of the traffic circle all the way on Prince of Wales. WHY? Doesn’t ease the flow of traffic and reduces the number of…you know…CAR CRASHES! What a selfish thing to do! I mean…What were they thinking? Bottom Line, FIX THESE ROADS ASAP!!!!! God damn it!!! And you know what's worse? You know what's really worse? Guess what? It wont be done until a year or so....What a shit load of fuck! This has been another….Classic Insight!
